Veteran's Day at MONAH

To honor Veteran’s day, MONAH will be showing two short films throughout the day. Visit MONAH and enjoy them in the Great Room:

  • Quapaw Nation Veterans Story

  • Featuring Bill Griffin (Marine), Henry Ellick (Army), narrated by Chairman Joeseph Byrd (Ogapah), produced by John Rodgers, Barry Linduff, and Justin Oden. A Quapaw Nation Production.

  • Choctaw Code Talkers: Telephone Warriors

    • This 30-minute introduction to the Choctaw Code Talkers recognizes the Choctaw veterans of WWI and discusses their history and lives as telephone warriors.

    • The Choctaw Code Talker Association has a goal of funding a life-size statue at the Choctaw Cultural Center in Durant. Choctaw Artist Gwen Coleman-Lester is allowing use of her art on t-shirts being sold to raise money for this effort.
