STORYTELLING AND TRICKSTER TALES IN AMERICAN INDIAN CULTURES

Dr. Gagnon will describe the seminal place of stories in American Indian cultures. Dr. Gagnon will describe the major categories of stories and offer examples from traditional times as well as contemporary renditions.  The second half of the presentation will focus on Trickster Stories and how they contribute to an understanding of American Indian cultures.
